I feel honored to write this recommendation letter on behalf of Marshall Gwyn. I have the privilege of being the Chaplain at his school, and I have known him for many years. I have had varied life experiences and opportunities to interact with him in school, in social settings and around our community.

Marshall was an exemplary student here at Wesleyan Christian Academy. Through his actions and approach to life it is obvious that he devotes himself to excellence. He accomplishes all of this along with a genuine concern for others and an unselfish attitude for those around him. He gives his time willingly and does it with a servant’s heart. It is refreshing to observe a student who has not bought into the world system that only lives for one’s self or just lives for the moment. He models a humble attitude and a strong commitment to God. I have had the privilege to know and interact with his parents and it is obvious they have a major influence in bringing him up by modeling hard work, dedication, and a love for God and others. It is refreshing for me to be able to simply reinforce the things that have already been taught to him at home.

Marshall has an expertise in technical skills that is second to none in my long tenure working with students. He is very knowledgeable in the area of computers, lighting and sound. He is probably the best student I have ever had at the actual mix of a band and vocals. He is very good at trouble shooting as well. He is gifted to know what works in a venue and creative in his approach to pull off an event with class. Sounds too good to be true… I’m telling it like it is. Marshall is well liked, is fun to be around, and is an all around great guy.

Marshall, now an employee of Wesleyan Christian Academy, is a big asset to this school. His influence varies widely as he is always available to lend a hand or be responsible to oversee any activity or function needed. I have the privilege to work closely with him through weekly chapel programs here at the academy. This puts me in contact with him on a daily basis. His influence is not limited to “doing”, however, even though he does that very well. Another of his gifts is influencing through “being”. He lives a life of consistency and he is known as trustworthy. Others around him know they can depend on Marshall and he seems to thrive on that responsibility. His sphere of influence is very broad here at Wesleyan, more than most.

I give Marshall Gwyn my highest recommendation and feel that he is deserving of any honor and consideration that you could grant him. He is a cut above!
