I purchased thousands of dollars worth of lighting. I returned 2 of the lights and lighting unlimited is refusing to credit my credit card. This company is unethical - I will be taking them to small claims court. Beware doing business with them. I won in small claims court. update on my review: I won my court case against them!

I went in to see if they had a small bulb for my Himalayan salt lamp. They did not. But it sure is fun looking around. The lamps are so beautiful and lots to look at. The beautiful pottery outside side is nice, too. The ladies helping me were very, very friendly.

Multiple, unsatisfactory experiences with a lot of back and forth issues with light fixture and ceiling fan orders. Customer service is definitely not a priority here.

I tired of getting lackluster help at Lamps Plus, and found this store "up the hill" in Cameron Park. From assistance with my ceiling fan purchase, to researching lighting replacements for my dining room and kitchen, I am a happy customer. They can provide their own electrician to do your install, and they matched prices with Lamps Plus and build.com! Great showroom too. The customer service from Michelle and Juanita were excellent, as well as the installation by Mark.

I hate writing this review because I try to support small, local businesses over the big box stores. I've ordered products three times from this store over the last decade. Every single order had an issue. Poor quality control standards, missing parts, defective pieces, refund problems, and poor customer service while attempting to fix the issues. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, I'm gone.

Don't shop here if you have any kind of small issues with your lighting systems because they have no desire to help, no imagination, no expertise and this shopper will find a solution to a pendant light myself. I should charge them for my time.

I just had the most wonderful experience with Lighting Unlimited. I had an entryway light fixture that I was struggling to install. Mark, the electrician at Lighting Unlimited was so responsive and helpful. His pricing was beyond reasonable and he was quick, efficient and just a super nice guy! The associates that answered the phone, Michelle being one of them, were all very helpful and friendly toward me.

I also feel the need to say that everyone was wearing masks the two times I was in the store. I highly recommend anyone to check out their beautiful showroom or call on Mark for any lighting needs! Thank you!

Excellent store with awesome Customer Service Personnell. Really liked the Quality of their merchandise! Repair Person is exemplary and has fair prices. I had a switch fixed in a lamp, and had the cord wrapped around the base of my lamp. When I want to pick it up, I didn't notice that the cord was instead of wrapped around it was looped into a loose cord wrapped with a zip tie.

As I unloaded from my trunk, I felt like something was falling and suddenly released my grip to catch whatever it was and in doing so released my grip on the lamp and as I lifted it out of the truck, I lost my grip on the lamp and it fell to the ground and dislodged the seating of the terminal end of the lamp and broke the bulb inside. I think it's probably that the lamp only needs to be repeated in its cradle and then when a new bulb is put inside the lamp, that the recent repair will not be affected. Today I went to look at this store for a kitchen remodel. As I walked into the store there was a sign on the outside of the store to wear a mask and social distancing of 6ft. I had on my mask as it's state mandate to wear one in a public place. Out of the 6 people (which appeared to be working at the store) I saw in the store who all appeared to be chatting and sitting or standing near each other none were wearing mask.

As one employee sitting at a desk saw me with a mask she did put one on. All 6 people looked at us a few said can we help you. I stood for a few minutes waiting to see if anyone else would put on a mask as I walked into the store more and no one did. I decided to leave not before saying you have guidelines on the front door of your business and your not wearing a mask shame on you.

I couldn't believe this store is not following the guidelines that they have posted on the front door of their business. There are stylist, barbers and other businesses who can't open or have to work outside in the hot sun but this place chooses not to follow the rules they have placed on the front door. Shame on them I would not recommend going here since they can't follow the rules and regulations put in place.

Lighting Unlimited has some great pots for plants, all different colors and sizes. I was very disappointed to learn today that the pots were more expensive than Green Acres. I always thought GA to be the most expensive.

Looking through the window is wonderful. Getting inside another story. Call before going. Ignore post business hours. They are never open. They choose to close during business hours on a regular basis

Not impressed with this place. They are way to busy with other things than help customers even with an appointment! They came highly recommended to me so I was excited to get a quote and get the ball rolling for our new construction. I had an appointment to see Kathy, but during that appointment which was held up because she was so busy, I was passed off to Michelle, and it was her first day there.

After three visits and MANY emails back and forth, I was no further along than when I first walked in. Fast forward two months to selling my house, which needed updated outdoor lamps. I emailed Kathy and she responded with a couple questions. I answered them and sent pictures but never heard back, so I called and left a message. Still no response. I must be one of those that "slips through the cracks", but my opinion of this place is pretty low.

10/16/2018 through 10/25/2018: From the first time meeting Michelle to Licensed CA Electrician, James Young, i.e., Y.E.S. retrieving all the electrical components I ordered and paid in advance for the upcoming electrical upgrades for my new house, Michelle exceeded my expectations! I selected the electrical components required for completing my lighting design for my kitchen: Michelle confidently stated it would take only two days for all the electrical components ordered, shipped from Reno, Nevada, and arriving at Lighting Unlimited. Acknowledging, I was immensely satisfied with Michelle's assurance and customer support!

Without a doubt, I will faithfully return ordering more electrical components from Michelle for future electrical projects I'll require: Just wait and see my upcoming electrical designs which assuredly, will be a fantastic play with creative illumination! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH, MICHELLE: YOU'RE BEYOND AWESOME!

Poor or really no customer service. My husband and I came all the way from Elk Grove because this place came recommended. 3 women were working and not one greeted us or asked if they could assist. We walked all through their store for at least 15-20 minute and all they did was discuss their personal business. On our way out we had to pass them and that's when they were forced to say something which was simply "thank you for coming in." We had money burning a hole in our pocket looking for a nice chandelier for our brand new home but it was clear they did care about selling anything to us.

Incredible selection at great prices. Three generations of our family have enjoyed the helpful service of those at Lighting Unlimited. No need to leave our community to find excellent lighting fixtures of any kind, and installed by skilled electricians. Although ownership has changed, it has been seamless in their helpful service. I am remodeling our Master Bedroom and dressing area and once again pleased with the service.

Shawn Silva from Lightning Unlimited was awesome. The whole experience from start to finish was easy. He and his associate Ron were professional, hard working, very clean, fast and more than reasonably priced. We strongly recommend Lighting Unlimited and Shawn for any electrician needs. Lighting Unlimited is a fantastic place to meet your lighting needs and more. The latest and most cutting edge new styles for a very affordable prices. The showroom is well laid out to cleanly highlight the different styles are types of lighting. Please see my pics to see some different styles. They have kitchen lighting, outdoor lighting, chandeliers, bar lighting, ceiling fans and furniture.

They also have a huge selection of pottery. Ask for Kathy (salesperson). She was wonderful. So friendly and so helpful. If you're looking for lots of gorgeous selection and good pricing then go check out Lighting Unlimited Inc.

Excellent experience here. I'd previously bought light fixtures from the box stores and I guess you get what you pay for. My wife and went here to get a new chandelier for Christmas. Justine helped us find the perfect piece. The options here were incredible and the customer service was perfect. Great store I definitely recommend it.

We have had several great experiences at this store. The most recent was during our kitchen remodel this spring/summer. We knew exactly what we wanted but were on a very tight timeline as we were acting as general and our subcontractors had minimal float in their schedules. Our orders for pendant fixtures, switches, outlets and other electrical items all came in before expected.

We promptly received a call to pick up and our order was already checked and safely repackaged. Everyone was very courteous and accommodating. We will certainly be back as we always seem to have a new project and love our statement lighting!

Definitely the worst customer service EVER! The most condescending jerk, I assume the manager, Judy? No wonder brick and mortar stores are becoming obsolete! Will never shop here again! Online is the way to go. Buyer beware, these folks are not good at all! ZERO stars for sure!

After listing and very quickly selling a client's home with very unique and custom lighting, I knew we needed to update our tract home blah lighting. She told me about Lighting Unlimited for a wide and different variety of options. Kathy helped me pick out some pieces that were definitely out of my comfort zone. I am so glad I trusted her! They look stunning in my house and we receive a ton of compliments!

I have since convinced a new client to update her lighting to bring a more custom feel to a production home. Their entire team were efficient and helpful.wouldn't go anywhere else!

I left work early and raced to Lighting Unlimited knowing I would only have a few minutes before they closed, but I know exactly what I want, so I wasn't too concerned. After fighting downtown Sac & Hwy 50 traffic fro 50 minutes, I made it to the the parking lot at 4:48 (per my cell phone). They close at 5. I get to the door, and it is locked. An older lady opens the door.no hello, no greeting, nothing.

Just a "if you are not here to pick something up then we are leaving early today" and she proceeds to close the door in my face. This lady acted like I was inconveniencing her by showing up 12 minutes before closing, and there are too many options out there to deal with this type of service, so I will spend my money elsewhere.

So, I was looking to buy some exterior lights. lots actually. $850 worth. I was going to order them online, but one of the 3 different styles I needed was not in stock. Then I remembered that this place is right down the street from me. I stopped in there a couple years ago and I know I left empty-handed, feeling quite surprised about their poor customer service, but I really couldn't remember anything else about the visit.

I do like to support local businesses, so I decided to give them another shot and see if I could order everything from them. They didn't carry one of the brands I wanted though, so the two women working there (who were being very nice and helpful) looked to see if they had something similar. The older of the two, whom I suspect was a manager, found something kind of similar to the one I wanted and then assumed it would work for me. Meanwhile, the younger one asked if I wanted to order the first two styles, that they did carry.

I say, "Well, could you tell me the price please?". She looks. $78 each. "Oh", I reply, "The site I was going to order them from has them for $49 w/ free shipping." I was really saying it more to myself and I feel like it was clear I wasn't prompting them for a response. I started to consider the actual difference in the total bill and how much extra I was willing to pay to support a local business, but the manager lady saved me the trouble, interrupting my thoughts with, "Well, you better go buy them there then!" Her attitude changed in the blink of an eye and the snarky look on her face seemed to suggest that I had insulted her personally! I won't make the mistake of going in there a third time.

Very knowledgable & helpful staff. We've been looking for unique yet functional & fun ceiling fans & sconces for over 6 months and found just about everything we needed here. If you're tired of the boring options at Home Depot. Lowes & even Lamps Plus, this is your spot!

Don't cheap out - go here for great lighting for your home. If you enjoy replacing fixtures every few years, by all means go to a big box store. But if you want great advice and quality, trouble-free lighting go to Lighting Unlimited. For instance, the 5 under-cabinet florescent fixtures we bought from Lighting Unlimited have worked wonderfully for the last 3 years.

No flickering, no yellowing of the plastic enclousure. Just today, 3 years later, I've finally had to replace my first burnt-out bulb in one of these fixtures. The fixtures these 5 replaced (contractor-supplied inexpensive ones) regularly burnt out bulbs - about 1 every 3 months, and eventually the covers became so brittle they shattered.
