David started in the film industry as a camera assistant in 1965. In the 1970's, he became a partner of Technovision Cameras working in Rome and London. David came to Los Angeles in 1979, and in 1984 founded Optech, Inc., which later became Lightning Strikes, Inc., with the goal of designing, building and renting specialized light fixtures.
