The owner absolutely sucks. Ordered a part for our fan. Said 1-2 weeks. Called him 3 weeks later. No part. 5 weeks later I called him and he's said "it's in". No courtesy call that it came in. Complete disaster. Don't mess with the guy.

This place has the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I had to have a socket replaced. It worked for two weeks. Took it back, Juan replaced it again. It worked for three weeks. Took it back three days ago. Juan was not there. The woman at the desk screamed in my face, verbally abused me to the point that I told her I hope the twenty dollars I paid for the repair was worth their reputation because I was going to report this all over the internet. Did not faze her.

She was the most arrogant, rude person I have ever dealt with. I took it to another lamp shop. They could not believe the shoddy work from them but knew of their horrible reputation.

OK, I ordered a receiver for a fan. Northwoods said it needed to be sent from the manufactor. Ok good, I can wait. Odered was placed and my card charged on 2/17. I have called several times only to be told to wait, the part was not available. Waited 3 weeks. Called again, told to wait. SO, I called the manufactor in CA too see if I could find out if the part was 1. Ordered 2. Was avaiable. CS as soon as I gave the name of whom was dealing with here in Houston, said I'll just send you the part. Received the part, installed, works. Called Northwood, I said just give me my money back. Told to wait, I would get my money back when Northwoods gets their $ back. It's been 8 weeks. So, Mr. Northwoods just keep the money. I filed a complaint with the BBB. We will see how that goes, Thank You

I have gone into this place a couple of times and each time I have encountered upset customers. The owner Juan, is very good at giving the run around and his wife is just flat out rude and unprofessional, yelling at customers in the store. They care not for customer service and do not stand behind their promises to fix things. Save yourself the hassle and nightmare dealing with this place will surely become.

Response to owner comment: I was simply relaying my experience upon going into this establishment on two occasion and both times I walked right out due to what I saw. I didnt realize that by providing my feedback that you would then seek me out to tarnish my business when you didn't even know it existed until I left my review of yours. This action further shows the type of business owners you are.

I bought the most expensive doorbell made, almost $500. Freddy, the electrician, installed it, and it worked great - for a few weeks! Imagine my surprise when I discovered that it wasn't working. That was almost a year ago, and Juan (the owner) has failed to repair it. After many calls, he did come by to investigate, and told me he needed a transformer, and would order it. Repeated calls to his team resulted in excuses about waiting on parts. STAY AWAY from Northwoods Lighting, Juan is all smiles when you're buying, but does not stand behind his products or service.

Don't waste your time or money! I ordered a $700 fixture on February 26. They charged my Discover card on 2/26. It is April 6th and I still don't have the fan. Same run-around as the other reviewer. I called weekly and each week was told "it will arrive on Monday." I called yesterday to cancel the order and they are still telling me 'it will be here on Monday" and would NOT agree to credit my purchase back. I haven't run into vendors who lie this much in a long time.
